Post number 90

Thought I would post a favorite song of mine for my 90th post.

Nobody home by Pink Floyd
I've got a little black book with my poems in. Got a bag, got a toothbrush and a comb .When I'm a good dog, they sometimes throw me a bone in.
I got elastic bands keepin my shoes on.Got those swollen hand blues.Got thirteen channels of shit on the T.V. to choose from.I've got electric light. And I've got second sight.Got amazing powers of observation. And that is how I knowWhen I try to get through On the telephone to youThere'll be nobody home.
I've got the obligatory Hendrix perm. And the inevitable pinhole burnsAll down the front of my favorite satin shirt.I've got nicotine stains on my fingers.I've got a silver spoon on a chain.I've got a grand piano to prop up my mortal remains.
I've got wild staring eyes. And I've got a strong urge to fly.But I got nowhere to fly to. Ooooh, Babe when I pick up the phone
"Surprise, surprise, surprise..." (from Gomer Pyle show) There's still nobody home.
I've got a pair of Gohills bootsand I got fading roots.

Life looks better now... much better.

Wow, things have been going great lately.

First off, I had an audition for jazz. And the good thing is, I got into the most advanced jazz class at my school! I am so happy. I only played one song for the audition and my teacher said I was in on the spot without hesitation. I was (and am) so happy. And my teacher is hard to please. The band I am in only plays songs by Duke Ellington. Every year our school competes in a compition in NYC called the Essentially Ellington competition. This year we placed 4th, which is outstanding since schools around the word compete, including art and private schools. I go to a public school, so that is even more amazing. Wynton Marsalis (a word famous jazz trumpet player and judge at the competition) said we should have placed 2nd or 3rd... which is amazing. We would have played at a concert at Lincoln Center. Next year I will be flying to New York, I can't wait.

Another thing, I am going to start driving. Today was the last day of school, and I found out all of my grades, and I have a B average. So I will drive. I can't wait, I will finally be able to go to record outlet when I want to, haha. Perhaps I will get a job somewhere.

I talked with a man from the Berklee College of Music, and I asked him questions about the music production and engineering program they have there. it sounds like I will get in when I apply. He said Agoura High School was a very prestigeous school, and it is famous for its music nationwide. That would help me, he said. The fact that I have already started recording will help me on my application too. I am a skilled musician. I play multiple instruments. I have good grades. And that is what Berklee looks for. I am thinking of applying next year and skipping my senior year of highschool. I'll just get my GED (diploma based on a test). After Berklee, I want to go to London to go to a trade school, look in previous posts.

I have decided to become a mod. I like the fashon, the music, the life. I've already got 3 suit jackets, a few ties and polos. And many pairs of levi's. All I need is a lambretta, with lots of lights, chrome, badges, mirrors and horns. I need more money. I'm saving up, I have over $1,000. I want a 200 cc motor though, I am a big man.

I have world cup fever. There, I said it. I want England to win because USA is sucking hard (and I am about 1/4 english or more). We don't deserve to be there... whatever. During my spanish exam, we were actually watching spain play against ukrane because my teacher is from spain. He was going nuts, it was the happiest I had ever seen him. Spain won, 4-0. Too bad I won't see him until next year, he's a great guy. I am currently watching paraguay play Sweden.

I also got tickets to see Roger Waters in october. I can hardly wait, even though Water's voice is fucking shot.

The rickenbacker is great as ever, and my guitar chops are getting better. I love playing green onions by Booker T and the MG's. What a great song to jam to... It allows my jazz roots to show.

I appreciate all of you people wo take the time to read this and comment. Your support is priceless. Cheers.
GMaS!

Woah

I have just realised something. My life has started. Everything I do (in school and at home) is preparation for something in the future. All I have to say is one thing: the future better be fuckin' worth it. I'm bustin' my ass doing school work, and I hope it will have some sort of practical use in one form or another.

My God I hate preparation. May I start to live now? Oh, guess not. Not until I am 18.

Will post later.
